About the Organization

Founded in 2012, the shelter provides a safe place for sick, injured, and stray animals, along with veterinary care, rehabilitation, socialization, and help finding loving homes. The organization also promotes responsible pet ownership and spay/neuter education through adoption events, community fairs, school programs, print outreach, and social media.

In 2013, the shelter partnered with the local government to help rehome dogs brought in by animal control. That year, the team helped 150 dogs find adoptive families locally and internationally, preventing space-related euthanasia. Since June 2019, the shelter has also managed local animal control services under contract, helping create a more humane pathway for animals in need.

The organization also helps high school students complete volunteer service hours through partnerships with six local schools. Students regularly visit the shelter to walk dogs and help with other care tasks.
