| Measuring | Use the marked dropper according to the product directions. | Pre-portioned by capsule; follow the package directions. |
| Portability | Carry the bottle and dropper; check storage directions. | Compact packaging may be convenient to carry. |
| Ingredients | Review the extract, carrier oil, flavor and other ingredients. | Review the extract, capsule shell and other ingredients. |
A quick label example
For oil, divide bottle total by bottle volume
A 1,000 mg bottle with 30 mL of oil contains about 33.3 mg CBD per mL (1,000 ÷ 30). That figure describes concentration. It is not the amount in a serving; find the directions on the exact product label.
For capsules, look for the labeled CBD amount per capsule. Compare serving directions and container count before comparing value.

- You like a flavored liquid and do not mind carrying a dropper.
You may prefer capsules if…
- You want a pre-portioned format.
- You prefer a solid capsule to a flavored liquid.
- You value a compact option for carrying with you.
These are format preferences. They do not establish which product works better or how quickly it acts.

Common questions
Oil vs capsules FAQ
Is CBD oil stronger than a capsule?
Strength depends on the labeled amount in the serving, not simply the format. Compare amounts for the specific products.
Does CBD oil work faster than capsules?
Timing can depend on formulation and individual factors. This guide compares format and labels, not product-specific effects.
Can I use the same directions for both?
No. Follow the current directions for the exact oil or capsule you have.
