When using the 1000mg CBD oil “for dogs” as a medicinal product, the correct amount should be based on the animal’s current total body weight. (See the attached table.) The recommended maximum daily dose of the product is 1 mg CBD, that is, up to 1 drop of CBD oil per kilogram of body weight.

CBD oil for dogs and cats can be used occasionally – for example, to help calm a stressed or restless pet – or as part of a daily wellness routine – for example, to support calm behavior, joint comfort, mobility, and overall well-being. Always consult your veterinarian about the frequency of use and optimal dosage! Also consult your vet for puppies.
Whichever strength of CBD oil you choose, the key is to give a maximum of 1 mg CBD per kilogram of body weight (kg BW) per day. So, a 15 kg dog can receive up to 15 mg of CBD daily. According to literature, if needed, doses up to 2 mg per kg BW may be acceptable.
If your pet has never had CBD before, regardless of their weight (5 or 50 kg), start by giving only 1-2 mg of CBD for the first few times. This is important to see how your pet reacts to a small amount of CBD oil, as very low doses can sometimes be effective and avoid unnecessary higher dosages. If you notice no effect, you can gradually increase the daily amount. For example: if your 15 kg dog responds well to 5 mg of CBD for joint comfort, there is no need to give the maximum allowed dose. It’s also possible that the same dose suits a 35 kg animal. That’s why it’s best to start with a low dose and observe your pet’s reaction.
Do not use if your pet has a known allergy to any of the ingredients. In rare cases, overdose may cause side effects such as: drowsiness, increased appetite, thirst, diarrhea. Remember, these unpleasant effects can be avoided by following the recommendations and your vet’s advice closely!

It’s important that your pet does not lick the oil drops directly from the dropper, as putting the dropper back into the bottle may cause the CBD oil to spoil prematurely. Preferably, drop the oil onto a spoon, spatula, or your fingertip designated for your pet, or directly onto their food.
